The Israeli navy boarded and seized around 40 vessels of the Global Sumud Flotilla, capturing some 400 activists – among them Swedish climate campaigner Greta Thunberg. Organisers say only one boat, the Marinette, is still pressing toward Gaza despite the blockade (latest position).

Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised the operation, while demonstrators from Barcelona to Buenos Aires rallied in solidarity with the flotilla and against the nearly two-year war that has left more than 66,000 dead in Gaza.

A separate track to end the war hinges on a 20-point cease-fire framework unveiled by U.S. President Donald Trump.
